2027 DCLPB Keynote Speaker

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott has established himself as one of the premier quarterbacks in the National Football League, serving as the starting quarterback and team leader for the Dallas Cowboys. Raised in Haughton, Louisiana, Prescott rose to national prominence at Mississippi State University, where he shattered school records, earned First-Team All-SEC honors, and led the Bulldogs to their first-ever No. 1 national ranking. Drafted by the Cowboys in 2016, he stepped into the starting role as a rookie, earning AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and going on to secure multiple Pro Bowl selections while cementing his place as a cornerstone of the franchise.

Beyond his achievements on the gridiron, Prescott’s life is defined by a steadfast Christian faith that anchors his identity. Through many challenges and setbacks, he routinely credits his spiritual foundation and trust in God’s plan for his resilience. He frequently points to his personal faith as his ultimate source of strength and guidance, demonstrating how staying grounded in Christ provides purpose and peace far beyond the game of football.

Guided by his mother Peggy’s enduring legacy and his own faith, Prescott founded the Faith Fight Finish Foundation. The organization invests in colon cancer research, mental health advocacy, suicide prevention, and community outreach. Recognizing his exceptional leadership and servant heart off the field, the NFL honored him with the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2022, reflecting his dedication to using his platform to glorify God and serve others.
